{ Wanderlust : Viva Mexico!

My sister, Kimberly, and I planned to go to Antigua for Memorial Day Weekend but instead we chose to go to Mexico. Kimberly lives in Washington, DC so she flew to Boston and from there we caught a straight flight to Cancun. Once we got in the air the fun began! I ordered shot after shot of Jack Daniel's while Kim sipped on champagne. Luckily  Being as persuasive as I am, I eagerly encouraged her to drink some Jack and from there it was a wrap! We shared laughs, photos, experiences, and reminisced about the past. In no time she was knocked out COLD! After about 3 1/2 hours we arrived in Cancun. Kim changed money at the airport and the lady changing the money tried to rob her. So after a few harsh words were exchanged, the manager came and Kim finally got the money that was owed to her.

Playa Del Carmen Beach ...

The place where we stayed was called Playa Del Carmen, so we took a bus from the airport and in half an hour we were there. Even though Mexico is not apart of the Caribbean I kind of assumed that there would be more similarities, but I was wrong. After the ride to Playa and walking in the streets I realized that Mexico had a peculiar look. The streets, shops and a few other things were different. Where we stayed was very tourist friendly, so there were ornaments hanging in the streets and the street vendors were so friendly. Before we went to the hotel we stopped by Burger King where Kim was determined to get her "Jalapeno poppers" that she had eaten during a previous trip.

When we got to the hotel room we ate, showered, and then we got ready to hit the road. We walked on the beach and through the streets of Playa taking pictures and touring the town. As we walked around the local people called us, 'Nubian queens, Brown sugar and Shhhocolate women'. I always got a good laugh when they called us "sexy women" also, because with their accents it would sound like they were saying "Saaay-C women" (lol). Kim was even called Naomi Campbell a couple times. When we told the locals that we didn't need their services or we weren't interested in buying, they would then result to jokingly selling themselves. They would say, "Well then do you wanna Mesi-con boyfrannnn." [lol]

At one point while we were walking around a club promoter gave us a  free VIP band to get into a club. So we went to a hookah bar, then we slept and got ready to go the club. By the time we were done we didn't end up leaving the hotel until 3 a.m. By the time we got to the club there was someone performing live and the DJ's from Atlanta were no longer playing. That is when Kim and I decided that we wanted to go to another club so then the search began. While we were walking to the club  quite a few men tried to chat with us and they even tried randomly kissing us ... *AWKWARD* [lol]. We thought it was hilarious so we just disregarded it and continued looking for another club. The search for another club wasn't difficult because there were so many clubs to choose from.

We were standing on the side of the road trying to decide which club to go to when a lady waved to us and said, "Hey! Come party at our club". So Kim and I looked at each other and said, "why not!". I suppose we fit the part so she insisted that we party at their club and we got in for free. To be honest, there was so much going on that I don't even remember the name of the club but boy was it JUMPIN'! They were playing techno, electro, dance, with a little mix of dancehall. As soon as we got in we went straight to the bar and started ordering drinks. The club was packed and the vibes was crazy. There were people dancing on tables, couches, on the balcony onto the mini stage. Throughout the night we even met a lot of cool people. After raving out a bit, Kim and I were feeling a bit daring so we climbed the balcony into the stage. Considering that the men kept oddly trying to kiss us, one of the people we were with kept easing in for a kiss. So I finally gave in and gave him a little peck [lol]. He was such a lil cutie though, so I figured why not?!!!!! (YOLO lol)  Kim and I had a great time and we shared it with some GREAT people. Finally we left the club at  6 a.m because we had to catch an 8 a.m ferry to Cozumel.

Mr.Sancho's Beach Club

By the time we got to the hotel we were exhausted and hungry. So we showered, took a mini nap and headed out for breakfast. Since this wasn't Kim's first time to Mexico we had breakfast at La Vagabunda, which is where she had eaten before. The breakfast was AWESOME! Everything was so fresh; even the orange juice was freshly squeezed. I usually don't like pulp but man, the orange juice so deliciously sweet. By the time we had breakfast it was already after 8am so we caught the 9 a.m ferry to Cozumel, which is an island off of Mexico. Kim wasn't very fond of the ferry ride but in forty minutes we arrived in Cozumel. When we arrived, we took a taxi to a beach club named Mr.Sancho's. Then we ate salsa, we tanned, swam and relaxed. We finally left in the evening, then we went to Hooter's (Mexican style), and caught the ferry back to Playa. That night we were going to go clubbing again but we got back to the hotel at about 11 p.m and we were completely burnt out! So we slept and got ready for our early morning flight.

Overall, the trip was so surreal; everything was just perfect. I certainly enjoyed getting the chance to spend quality time with my sister. Overall, I felt like Playa had a very romantic vibe going on so next time I go back (God willing) then I would love to go back with a significant other. Honestly, I wish I could spend the rest of my life simply traveling the world and taking in its wonders. Until next time ...

{ Being taken advantage of ...

- It SUCKS to know that I have to regulate the amount of giving, sharing, and loving that I do with people. I wish that I could do all of these freely, WITHOUT CONSTANTLY being taken advantage of. They say good people finish last, and I don't know if that's legit but it sure feels like it. What scares me most, is feeling like I'll never be loved for who I truly am because instead I'm being loved for what I have to offer (money, sex, nurturing nature, understanding, a seemingly endless supply of emotional/physical/spiritual energy). Such is life, I suppose.

{ The poetic story about ... "That Mysterious Woman"

She gave up on herself even when everyone else still believed in her, you see.
And so ........
Many lost faith in her, well at least, that is what she believed.
In time, it was as if she became a faded memory.

Seemingly bitter but sweet, this woman is surely a mystery.
And this mysterious woman sporadically appears, seemingly out of no where.
She an be spotted every now and then, most likely at a night affair.
Every room she enters, she owns with her sex appeal,
You may notice a sparkle in her smile  glares.
She possesses an enchanting aura, so powerful that it easily changes the atmosphere ...
At one point or another, all eyes adhere.
The grace, and confidence in her walk, would make anyone want to stare.

But although it may not show,
She comes alive at night because she feels low.
Therefore, she searches for the high ...
A few drinks and suddenly, you can see the yearning in her eyes.
The groove in her hips,
And the glow of her chocolate thighs.

You would think she had no worries, no cares, and no fears.

But when the music stops, and she sobers up ...
Her 'so-called' reality is back to a nightmare.
This woman has a natural mesmerizing essence, and her treasures are indeed RARE,
If you seek her, you may find the true essence her of being.
But just know that upon greeting her despite of what you're seeing ...
You could become captivated by her trance.
And THIS ....  Is the story of, THAT MYSTERIOUS WOMAN ....
